quick question

ive posted here a couple other times and have gotten good results. Now i need some advice on the truck ive decided to buy. its a 2005 f250 super cab long bed with the 6.0 diesel. not the best diesel fords made from what i hear but with **** maintenance and a good looking oasis report ive been told they can be great machines. i had the oasis report ran on the truck and it had 1.) all four wheels replaced due to them being out of round and causing vibrations, and 2.) an EDT sensor replaced. ive drove the truck a few times and it runs well from what ive experienced. i did notice that yesterday when i started it first thing in the morning at the dealer, it started fine but about 5 seconds after it started it made an odd noise. not sure what it was but it lasted for maybe a second and it didnt do it again. sounded kinda like a hand dryer in a bathroom but not as loud. just wondering if the oasis results are ok and what that noise might have been. one other thing i saw on here a long time ago was a thread about idle time. there was a formula for a way to see how much percent of its time was idle time with the miles and the hours? if anyone can help with any of these questios, it would be much appreciated. thanks everyone.

Take total mileage and divide it by total hrs - that will get you average mph. If it is less than 25mph, there has probably been a lot of idling. If it is over 35mph, probably a lot of highway miles. Oasis will tell you what's been done at Ford - not bad, but not necessarily the whole story either.
