i've got a 77 F250. the right front turn signal/marker light doesnt work. ground is good and my connections are good, but it wont come on with driving lights and its causing the right turn signal to not work. havent really got too far into it, just wondered if this has happened to anybody else. gettin ideas before i get into it
How do you know your grounds are good? The only way to quantify that is to physically measure the resistance with a multimeter. If you haven't done that then you can't say they're good. There's no way to prove out an electrical connection visually - a socket can be non-functional, but still look fine on the outside. Maybe you've got the ground bolted to the sheetmetal, but that doesn't mean that a clean ground is making it all the way to the bulb.
well my ground is hooked to my front clip which has a ground strap going to it. no i havent whipped out the tester yet, but i'll have to try that. the thing that gets me though is that when i turn the right turn signal on, the light in dash doesnt come on, and the rear turn doesnt work either, but the 4 ways will work and dash light comes on, but that front light still wont light up. and its odd because the 4 ways will get fast and then slow and fast again and slow
my front left marker light socket was bad, whenever you would flip the blinker on, it would just light up and burn. so i took a socket out of my parts truck and put it in. The turn signal works now but the wire for the park light is fried so the park light doesnt work.
