New to restoring and I am having an issue with the carburetor. I've come to the conclusion that it might float bowl assembly. It is just filling up with fuel and leaking down the throttle shaft (not sure if that is the right terminology) How might I fix this issue or find resources that will show the setup for the hoses and troubleshooting for this issue. Could it possibly be a vacuum issue as well?
Over filling the float bowl could be due to either too high fuel lift pump pressure or a bad/dirty float valve or a punctured float.
You can check the float by shaking it and if leaking, it will have fuel in it.
Also it is usual to replace the float valve when rebuilding.
The float height settings are often included in the rebuild kit and should be checked and reset if necessary.
