That's not bad. Unless it's over 80 out all of ours take about that long. If it's below zero we just wear coats. You can get a cheap laser thermometer at ace hardware and check your thermostat outlet temp after it does warm up. If it's about 195 to 200 then the thermostat is fine.

I've never had the patience to wait for mine to warm up idling. Even when it's fairly cool out (like 20's) I'll give it 2 or 3 mins to warm up before driving. Still it takes about 6 to 10 miles on the highway before the heat kinda gets a bit warm and the temp gauge starts moving. After about 15 miles it's mostly up to temp, and the heater will chase you out if it's on high.
