I was in a similar situation as you with my 05, except my ECT would be around 195 and EOT around 250. The risk involved in this would be engine damage, as oil gets hotter it loses its viscosity, so it doesnt lube as well, which will lead to shortened engine life, how short no one will ever know. I drove around with temps like that for awhile with no side effects. I had a leaking EGR cooler, which would cause puking, so if your truck is puking and the degas bottle is building more than 16psi, dont automaticall think you have bad hg's too.

My degas bottle would build up to 22 psi with the bad coolers, after I had the new oil cooler, EGR delete, Coolant flush, basically everything done right. my truck runs great and has had no problems. I thought my headgaskets were bad, but in reality they were fine. I've now put another 12000 miles on the truck and havent lost a single bit of coolant (except when my lower radiator hose came off).

I had the same problem last year. Turns out the extra pressure in the system swelled all my hoses, I had it pop off 5 or 6 times in one week. Replaced a bunch of hoses and was good to go.

Ok, I found this kit
Basic Solution(TM) for Ford 6.0L Powerstroke With Sinister EGR Delete Kit, Oil Cooler and Intake Gaskets
Exactly what i was looking for. Unless someone can give me a reason not to, I will be purchasing tomorrow.

I just put some simple green in my coolant system, i will flush as thouroughly as possible before I do this work. I'm hoping I can find this Fleetgaurd Restore before dig in.

I'm pretty sure there are a few other upgrades i need to do while i'm in there. If anyone wants to enlighten me feel free, if not i will search and post whatever questions i have.

Thoughts up to this point?

Anybody have anything bad to say about the sinister kit?

I'm also looking into the HPOP kit (stc fittings?) I have this part # 4c3z-9b246-f . I'm getting mixed readings on whether or not it is for the 04.
and the upgraded turbo drain tube 6c3z-9t515a. Oh and this fuel pressure reg. kit 3c3z-9t517-ag

So my thoughts are if i do these 3 things with the sinister kit i should be g2g?

I don't know what that part# is for, but there's no STC fitting on an '04 HPOP...the STC fitting is on the redesigned pump for '05 and up.
