Carb trouble

I have an 85 f-350 with a Edelbrock 1406 carb the pump connecting rod fell off of the plunger assembly and the plunger is bent , other than getting another carb from the yards or buying a new one what are my best options?

Personally I figure a carb as a wear item. I replace mine every 5-7 years. Not bad at all about $60 bucks a year for good performance. I also run 3 filters in line, and 2 in the tanks. One I am not a skilled carb tradesman I can get it done but no guarantee it will work where as getting it from the box its gonna work or its going back.

I'd pick a new one every time.
