Engine problems? Turbo cuts off
So this has happened about 3 times already and it's only for a second or two at most. My truck will just suddenly loose power, turbo cuts off and it blows white smoke. I have the exhaust pulled off which makes the turbo really loud and when it happens it sounds like the turbo just isn't there. The engine also stutters.
Any ideas? I am shot for cash so I want to intercept this issue before it becomes a big deal.

i'm having this same problem and can;'t seem to get a straight answer for a fix, i've heard needing a new back pressure sensor. looking into that now. would also appreciate any help on this matter. Seems like it cuts on and off randomly, but upon shutting off and restarting it stops doing it.

white smoke is usually an indication of something like water in your cac or you are eating coolant.
Those are the most common causes.
If maybe some black or blue smoke then I'd suggest a sticking injector.
