Ok I have read on here several times about oil in the icp sensor connector. I now have that issue. it doesnt seem to effect opperation. just wondering how long i have till i need to replace it. it doesnt light the CEL. theyre priced from $73 to $165 on ebay. thats a lot for a sensor. the low pressure oil pressure sender is lookin oily too. my todo list just keeps growing with this thing.
There's no telling. I had oil in mine. Not a lot of oil like it was enough or almost enough to start dripping out of it, but it had a fair amount of oil in the plug so I replaced it to be on the safe side. Cleaned the plug out and stuck the new one in. 15,000 miles later, the new ICP had the same amount of oil in it. Then a local guy had some problems with his truck so I loaned him my old ICP sensor to try out. That was about a year ago. I still have the same oil in my plug and he's still testing out my old ICP every day as he drives around.
Since you can always find them on ebay, I'd just keep an eye on things. If it starts to act up, unplug it and order one. If it's leaking a lot of oil, go ahead and order one now.
