Now that's cold calculating. I was a carpenter/cabinet maker before my EARLY retirement and the calculator that I used was the beer case factor.ie: 12 x 16 deck $3,000- labour 8 cases of beer. Worked great, the wife didn't like it though, she always asked, how the hell do I put a case of beer in the bank? The reason for my early retirement? I didn't have the answer.
I've been doing great! My work computer not so much! Got a Virus last monday called it in and they "fixed" it, it worked for about a day and a half than they say I got another virus.... this time it was down for 3 days! I was not a happy camper but I got caught up on other stuff
I was on a Snowmobiling Vacation at my parents cottage from February 5 - 13. That was AWESOME! We went around Algonquin Park, 618 Miles, in 4 days. It was beautiful and the weather was just fantastic. Other than that Working 2 jobs and sleeping is about all.
Also now that the vacation is over I am waiting for May so I can bring out the Truck! Come on May!
put a new cable on hand choke today 600 holley figured it might save a little gas instead of revving her up til warm lol noticed the winter was rough on her rear fenders starting to blister oh well something more for the never ending list
Linghting ryan, Two jobs!!! geeez I wish I had even just ONE!!!
Yeah man and I love them both. But one is a bouncer at the Sundowner so I love it more! Just don't tell my GF I said that Lmao " I swear sweetie I don't look at the naked women" bahahahahahahaha
OMG!! YOU remind me so much of ME in my younger days, Burning the candle at both ends while living on the edge of a razor. Boy I could tell you some stories of trials and tribulations!!!
I've been contemplating retiring the '76. Niel Young released an album 3 years after my truck was built,..."Rust Never Sleeps", well he was right! The old truck has seen better days and things are starting to get past the point that it makes any sense to keep putting money into it. No complaints though, I've had the truck for 21 years.
I have planns to make the '77 more driveable but I can't be working on it and driving it at the same time so we'll have to get something else when the time comes.
I went out and took a few Rangers out for test drives, they ride much more like a truck than I expected but they're small. Not so much when you get in one but after the test drive I got back into my '76 and thought this is sooo much roomier.
Maybe a mid 90's F150 supercab ? not sure yet. I'll know when I see it.
Maybe a mid 90's Bronco?,.... not sure I could gain entry into such an elite group
though.
Fuel injected 4.9 is the way to go I think.

I figure might as well do it while I can than maybe I won't have to do it when I have a family and all that fun stuff. Plus paying for an 04 Lightning is not cheap but it's well worth it! Only another 2.25 years Insurance on the other hand when your a 23 year old male that's always great to see come in.
fp_5 Dealing with family can be tough at the best of times. How bad is the truck for rust?
Family,..don't get old, it ain't pretty.....
as for the truck, the box is shot inside and out, the inner fenders are gone as is the rad support, one fender I just replaced the other may be salvageable, cab isn't bad but it is rusting around the marker lights and I've already done more to it than I should have. One door is good , the other is so-so.
Engine has started using too much oil, liklely just valve seals but I haven't had the time to look at anything, Which is the real problem, no time. The '77 should get my attention. I forgot to mention that my '48 won't idle so it needs attention as well. The '76 maybe parted out, as painful as that might be. We'll see how it goes.
You get a hair cut and we'll see about membership in the exclusise Bronco club.
