I have 95,000 miles on my truck, when my oil starts getting close to needing to be changed I notice more vapor. I also see more vapor when it's cold outside, if you can see your breath you'll see a bit more vapor.

i think allot of the oil vapor is the piston cooling jets squirting the mist of oil onto the bottom of the pistons.

i wonder if the SVO he's burning, plays a role.

I got 106k on mine, and the ccv and fill cap smokes, not as much as the OP. Drove me nutz for weeks, think'n of it smoking, til i came to conclussion, the "majority" of peoples' do.
