Broke Down, Need Help

hey guys I have some frustrating news. I changed the location of the ground and changed the alt clip. Started her up and drove her for about 20 minutes and it started doing the "flooding" thing on flat group. Then it stalled and the battery was dead and I had to get it jumped to start it again. After it started it ran fine again until i got home. So here is my best description of what happens:

The check engine kicks on right as the truck runs for about 10 minutes. Right after it comes on it started to "flood" ( its efi) but i could feather through it and then it would run fine. I turned a corner and as I straightened out and pressed on the gas there is a pretty loud "thud" from the area of the fuel pump and fuel filter. I could feather through it and it keep going and then became so severe that I could not and had to pull over. There were multiple "thuds" and the engine was bucking and spitting. After this happens the battery is always dead and I have to get it jumped to start it and it usually takes so long to find someone to jump me the truck has time to cool off and runs good again. I need help because this really sucks. I am thinking dizzy???

Oh I put my hands on the plug wires to feel the pulses and on the passenger side only the middle two were strong pulses. The end two wires were very weak pulses. If this helps at all. This was right after this severe "flooding" happened

The first thing, I would fix the alternator and /or battery problem. It takes battery power to fire the ignition as well as other functions of running. Let us know what model and year and engine you have? I assume 1989 by your username.

Except for the thuds, it sounds like the same problem my 93 had awhile back. It turned out to be my battery wasn't taking a charge. As soon as I put a new battery in, all the problems went away.
As for your thuds, well I have no clue, sorry.

If you have a dead battery and you jump start it, you're not going very far. The alternator won't charge a dead battery and your volts guage should indicate the battery isn't charging. The volts guage should read OVER 12 volts if the battery is charging. So charge your battery with a battery charger or get a different battery as 2fords suggested and make sure the battery is charging before you try to go anywhere.

The alt is less than a year old. I replaced it when I replaced the oil pan about 6 months ago. I do believe that the battery won't hold a charge anymore and will replace it, but I still think there may be something wrong with the dizzy. The truck has a new:
fuel pump,
fuel filter,
fuel pressure regulator,
both temp switches
plus some I can't think of.

The check engine light comes on while driving it as well now. its comes up with 32 and 85. then 32 and 41.

After the truck runs for a while it has a very hard time starting. Sometimes I have to even get it jumped. I tested the battery and alternator and they both are fine. battery's at 12.67 v (after I charge it up) and the alt charges at 14.70's v
