Man for that kind of money I would just spring for a Scan Gauge 2. LOL
Seriously, the other day my check engine light came on, wheeled into autozone, ran inside, borrowed their OBD2 reader, cam back out plugged it in. Read the code, cleared the code and was back on the road in less than 5 minutes. I didn't even get the wife out or the kids out of the back seat.
DO NOT PAY $70.00 to have this done, unless you are made of $$$.
I think you can buy a cheap OBD2 reader for your own tool box for about the same price.

The light can be turned off just by disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes.
But If you don't fix the problem that made it come on in the first place. It will just come on again.
i did all that and autozone said it was a ford code and when they cleared it in came back on within 10 miles
So did you get the code?
Did they tell you the number?
The list of codes is right on the Internet!
You need to have it checked again and find out what the code is, right it down this time and look it up.
