Last week I started my truck up (94.5 PSD), it was about 45 degrees and had been freezing over night. Didn't have it plugged in so it was a rough start, but did fire the first time after cranking about 4 seconds. Moved her down the end of the drive to warm up...and noticed a trail of fuel drippage along the way (driveway was wet so it was easy to spot), and a nice puddle where it was initially parked.
Looked underneath and it appeared it had poured out the drain tube coming from the filter housing....but was no longer leaking out. So a one time leak of about a cup full.
Have since parked and started the truck 2-3 times since and no issue. Any idea what would have caused this?
Well if your certain its the drain valve then its probably an o-ring that has failed. you can buy a new set of gaskets for your fuel bowl at dieselorings.com. but i would also check your hoses underneath ur fuelbowl and the bajno bolt on you r fuel pump, it a 1 1/8 big ol bolt head on the back of the bump, but i dont think it would be leaking that serious. look at the tech/mods sticky at the top of our page and find "common fuel leaks" that might help you get started.
I'm not certain its the hose, but based on the puddle proximity compared to where it was parked and the fact that it appeared there was still a residual drip on the tip of the hose - thats my best guess.

X2 on that. but the banjo bolt actually is a 1 1/4"
