Starting issue
2003 Ford Explorer Sport 2dr, 4x4, manual
I left my sport parked over the winter for about 6 weeks in Philly, while was away form school. I came back, started it up but nada. No lights, crank, nothing.
got a jump from a truck after letting the connection charge for about 5 mins. I kept cranking and cranking, but no start. When it was charging the battery seemed fine, lights, radio, etc powered up, I just couldnt get it to turn over. I was about to call it a day, but after about 10 tries, I got it running.
I let it run a bit, turned the sport off, then tried to restart, with no jumper cables connected. i only got some flickering dash lights and no start.
What is my problem? Starter? Something else? Ive never changed a starter before, but if this something I can fix on my own that would save me money. Thanks

Start by putting a meter on that battery, fully charged/resting 3hrs 12.6vdc, cranking >10.5vdc.
PCM and radio drain battery and cold weather helps kill battery cells. You may not be able to recover this battery.......
