need help
i have a '96 f150 with a v6 and manual the problem i am having is when i put it 5th gear it pops out when i push on the gas and stays in when i take my foot off of it unless i hold it in gear with a lot of pressure on the stick but even then it tries to pop out but goes right back in. what do yall think the problem could be?

The shift linage should be adjustable. I would try that first, adjust the rod throw a little at a time. Count how many turns you do, so that you can go back there. Make sure that you are on the right rod.
