I'm cleaning up that 97 front cover and HPOP reservoir I have to install on my engine and am wondering about a hole in the reservoir. There are two holes toward the middle of it that you can see when you flip it upside down. If I spray water in one of them it comes out another hole on the front side. And there is a little pressed in plug in that line near the top of it. The other hole doesn't seem to go anywhere. It's the only two holes that aren't bolt holes in it if any of you have one to look at. I was just wondering where this other one goes to in case it's plugged or something.
Thanks!
Thanks! I just found my tiny borescope that apparently my kid swiped and got down in there. It looks like a really small hole in the end of it, toward the top of the reservoir. I can't get light to shine through it and I just sand blasted the thing so I need to fix that. Still can't see what it would be for though. A bleedoff of some kind maybe.
Yeah 95 can go either way. If your oil pressure sensor has pipe threads then it's the 94 style. O riing seal and it's the 97 style. Also the fill plug will be a pipe plug on a 94, o ring seal that takes an Allen wrench for a 97.
Post up a picture. The one hole is your IPR dump port, which should send oil to the timing cover. I'll have to go look at one at the shop to refresh my memory unless I see a picture.
On the HPOP on 95psd,it is said that a 95 psd HPOP can go either way i have allen screw
on the top of my 95psd,it also appears a little confusing in which one i may have doe's the color of the truck make a difference, thank's
I think the color does matter. White trucks are a pain!!!!
I will have to wait till I have my 94 cover off and do some comparison pics. It might be a few weeks now. I just blew my money on other junk. intercooler and new chip.
I know what you mean ,we put a flat bed on truck, had to replace adapter plate between
trany and engine, try to fix fuel leaks, but it's cheaper than a new truck you can do a lot of damage to it for $50,000,thank's, p.s. on the color of the back in 1973 i bought a yellow
1/2 ton 4x4 dodge and had nothing but trouble with it.
Yellow is scary. I had a yellow wrangler a few years ago that was a lot of trouble. One night when it was parked in the garage the drivers door caught fire. There was not a single thing electrical in the door either. It was a 4 cyl base model. What happened was the third brake light wire on the tailgate got pinched, all I can figure is current traveled to the drivers door latch, melted it and caught fire. I got rid of it fast!
