I tried to install the white lightning LED bar on my 2010 F150. I tried 5 bars and none worked. They would wig out when put into reverse. I talked with the Recon tech support.
To their credit they shipped me 4 bars to try and correct the issue. None worked and according the Recon they switched manufacturers and were having parts.
They rate top of the list for effort to correct issue but at the bottom on designing something that would work as intended.
After 5 lights I would not put the blame on the lights, did you ever get one to work...
Based on your wise and detailed analysis, I must have been at fault. Since I didn't have your number to call and have you point out my mistake in wiring a simple 5 wire connector, I used their tech support. I wired them correctly according to their supplied instructions and verified by them on the phone. Even connecting using their default 4 pin connector (hardwired by them to the light bar) didn't work. They mentioned they had changed manufacturer's and had had issues with them. Apparently they had issues with the circuitry on their bar and the new 2010 Ford F150.

There you go, you got one to work, that's all good.
I had their clear led lenses on my 2004 dually fenders and mirrors and they looked/worked great. I also had their clear cab lenses, but it was the pre-let style (I used an orange bulb). The cab lenses could get some condensation in them, but that happened with other brands as well. Only draw back to clear is that over time they could yellow a little bit, although the recon did it less then my first set, which I believe was apc. Going for the LED cabs on this truck. Haven't decide clear or smoked yet.
There was a thread not long ago about how poor Recons' products and customer service are. Good luck is all I can say.
Huh... That isn't good. I like the way some of their stuff looks, but if the quality isn't there maybe it isn't worth the $$. Anyone else have info on the quality of the product??
Nope. Not any worked and received bars from 2 manf. runs.
Sorry to hear that, I thought Recon was one of the best, how hard can it be to make good lights? Live & learn.Thats what I like about this forum, we get to the truth one way or another. Gigger
