Does anyone have detailed installation instructions on how to mount and wire clearance lights on my 1995 F-250 4x4...??? The dealer wants to charge me $400.00... I already have the lights, bulb pigtails, and the main connecting wire... What are the mountings specs? Where do I connect to the trucks lighting system? Most of all, how to I fish the wire through the "double" cab top...???
If you have a headliner, remove it & you can put a couple of access holes in the inner roof. You can also pull the visors and work thru their holes, but you know you'll be cutting a few on the outer roof for the wires to go thru, anyway, so make them a little oversized & work thru them - you'll be hiding them with the lights anyway. There should be a brown wire (the parking lights circuit) behind the L kick panel that you can tie into, or you could tie into the trailer lights relay.
I'd lay out the lights on the roof & trace around them AND mark their screw holes with a Sharpie (alcohol will remove the ink later). Then use a 1" metal cutting hole saw (or whatever size doesn't come with 1/16" of your marks). That should give you plenty of room to fish the wire from the dash up the A-pillar inside trim, into the roof & out thru your new hole in the top.
