1996 spout connection

I would like to bump the timing on my 96. It has a 351 in it. Where is the spout connection if in fact it has one?

Very likely it will be under the hood on the drivers side fender near the ECC test connector(close to the hinge). It is usually wrapped with electricians tape.

That's where it is but don't look for the EEC test connector, on the 96 it's under the dash. Look for the Ignition Control Module (aluminum heat sink on the back of the inner fender near the firewall) the SPOUT connector should be on the wiring harness which attaches to the ICM.

I think you just answered my question, where is the eeg on a 96 with a 4.9. I have a 93 and it is by the hood hinge but not on the 96, so I gather it is the connection under the dash. Thanks.
