well you'll have to ask for ones that will fit 76 and earlier. They will say there aren't any for a 78 because as you know, there were no FE's past 76.

Dont know if anyone makes them though.

I don't think I've seen any nor would it even be possible/reasonable on that truck. There's no room for the header. Even if you remove the inner fenderwell the brake booster/master cylinder, tire travel area, and cab mounts are in the way. With no real reason not to stay within the frame rail instead. Just too custom for anyone to manufacture.

Agreed, there's no reason or room for them on a truck. Not worth the effort.

There's a few around town with them but they are all 460 or originally 460s that's been bored out etc. They run them and one is actually a 79. But other then that I don't know much about them.

I have never seen a fender wall exit header for an FE. there are absolutly no fender exit headers for any FE in 73-76 trucks.

Why would you want to run the header outside the frame? Just to look cool? Any that exist are likely custom built, not that hard to make a header.

So I don't have to bend the exhaust around the transfer case. Plus not very common. I like to be different. Which is why a 390 is going in it lol

So you'd rather bend 8 pipes around a dozen things then one pipe around one thing? If you want to be uncommon get a Studebaker.

No, I think he would rather buy fender exit headers than have to do 2 or 3 special bends just to get around that transfercase.
I dont see anywhere he mintioned building the headers himself. he was just tryin to find them

I know they are made for 460s in the f150/250 I have seen them on truck in town that are made for them. I just didn't know if they made them for a 390 or not. From the 73-79 forum I know that the only mod you have to do is trim the pas side inner fender. They are made for these trucks I was asking if they were available for these motors. Look cool idc it would be easier to run the echaust outside of the frame rails. Since I have no pipe benders it would have been a lot easier for me to look for these headers. But oh well

I've seen them in a galaxie, falcon, and on a dyno I can't seem to find the link to right now. So they at least made them at some time, or maybe they were custom, who knows. Not for a truck though.
