I don't believe that Ford ever made a grille guard similar to the one above. If they did, Ford would be proud of it and stamp "FORD" somewhere into it.
The only grille guard that FORD made that I'm aware of is like this one on my 52.
now that you say that i do think mine is and aftermarket one cause when i first got it i set it place and there is 2 braces that go back to the frame through the grill headlight piece and the two holes arent factory cut. either way im going to use mine
Thanks for that. I guess I'll just have to install and see how it looks. I think that's what saved my grill. Only one ding in it. Not bad for a farm vehicle!
I had a grille guard on my 50 F-3 when I bought it. It looked very well thought out and had cutout for the lights and also had two holes in the grille next to the headlights with 2 very sturdy reinforcement bars that ran down and connected to the frame. The bottom part of the guard that bolted to the bumper was kind of rough welded so that is what made me think that it was an owner installed piece. And now that I saw Man N Black's picture of one, that is exactly what mine looked like. So that makes me wonder even more if maybe mine had broken at one point and was rewelded back together. It had the exact cut outs for headlights too. Interesting. Of course, it has long gone to the scrap pile and recycled.
NEXT ? THERE IS NO BRAKE PEDAL OR ANY BRAKE STUFF FROM THE CAB. WAS WANDERING IF I SHOULD TAKE THE MASTER CYLINDER, VACCUM PUMP AND PEDAL ASSEMBLY FROM THE 86 RANGER I HAVE OR THE 80 F150 THAT THE MOTOR IS COMING FROM?

Reason: FOR GOT KEY WORD
I found a 9" from a 72 at the junkyard. so i think im going to go that route instead then if i do want to push the go fast pedal there less of a chance in braking something.
