Check for a broken spring too. Also, the rivits that hold the frame together loosen over time and there will be a loud popping sound from up front when you corner or go over an uneven road surface.
have a lok at the motor mounts to
those rubber blocks are bad for cracking
just lift the hood and put the truck in gear with the brake on slip the clutch a tad and if the motor rises up alot check the high side
my truck kept breaking the passenger side motor mount everytime i would back my trailor up my steep driveway
its usually the drivers side moutn that goes as most stress is put on this one when driving forward
backward is the passenger side
doent hurt to look though
the cracks in the rubber are hard to see though so u might also want to crawl under with a pry bar and see is there is any movement in the motor moutn
I was told by my mechanic that my radius arm bushing on the drivers side is bad. Is this an easy fix. I have mechanical skills but lack knowledge of where some parts are ie radius arm buashig? Can anyone help me?
The radius arm is the bar that connects from the front axle back to the frame (one on each side). The bushings that go bad are at the back end where they connect to the frame.
