Dusted Turbo???

This is about my 02 7.3l with 117000 on it. I just bought it and should have looked under the hood better. No runability problems but just took the air cleaner off and looked down the hole after reading some posts. The leading edges of the turbo blades are worn back about a 1/4 inch on every blade in a semi-circular pattern. I'm assuming this isn't good as I'm sure it's screwing my airflow up. Previous owner had a K&N on it that was so dirty I threw it out and got a new one. Are older turbos just like that, or am I looking at a turbo replacement down the road? Tried downloading photo but need to figure that out.

The compresor blades should be very close to the housing. If not then you can look at either adding a wicked wheel, replacing the turbo or rebuilding it. Mine isn't that bad but it's showing wear. Still holds over 20psi easy though so I won't be replacing it anytime soon.
