2005 F350 KR

Hi...sorta new to the forums (Ive been lurking alot), and I need some help. I just bought a 2005 F350 Crew Cab King Ranch DRW 4x4. I havent really looked yet, but I'm hoping it has a block heater. Second, I'm looking for a steering wheel. This one is kinda crappy looking. It has the multi-function controls on it. Anybody know where I can get even a decent used one ? Im selling my 2002 F250 Lariat 4x4 Crew Cab...and I kinda like the seats better. Anybody know if they will interchange ? Last question (sorry)..Where can I find the factory box for the numerical pad on the outside of the door (so I can reset the previous code) ? Thanks for any help.

Assuming your truck is a diesel, yes, it definitely has the block heater. If it's a gasser, no way of knowing without looking.

No idea on the steering wheel......check the classified section of FTE or a junkyard, etc.

Yes the seats will interchange...brackets and mounting points are the same.

The code for the keyless entry is located behind the radio....you can see it with some twisting and turning: Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums - View Single Post - Is there a way to get the keyless entry code without going to the dealer?

You're welcome. Oh, and all of the 6.0 diesels have the block heater. It was installed when the engine was initially built by Navistar. The only thing that may not be there will be the cord that connects to it. If it's there, it should be on the right side somewhere behind or around the right tow hook. If it's not there, you can find them on eBay pretty cheap.

I cant believe how fast you guys answer questions !!! Ok..so I got everything else taken care of...except the block heater plug/cord. I looked everywhere. I decided its prolly not on the truck, so I start looking (the best I can in the driveway laying in the snow) at the side of the engine where the starter is (and in that general area). I didnt see anything that caught my attention. Does anybody have a pic of where it is on the block ? Maybe another pic of something else that might show where the cord goes into the block ? Thanks guys.

Look in passenger wheel well, just below exhaust manifold, you will see a wire plugged to block or the 2 prongs the wire connects, its near the back 1/3 of the block, few inches below the exhaust manifold. Go to a Navistar/international dealer for a cord. Also, check pass side tow hook hole, look around inside for the cord, tied back with plug there. It's black so hard as heck to see so use flashlight or better work light that's bright.

For the steering wheel, go to a wrecker and ask them to look up a steering wheel with what you want for color and options, I believe a kr and lariat wheel are same. They can source from all of their connected network. Better yet know someone who wrecked one and is parting out a 05 to 07 KR, they could hook you up with seats too.

If you dontlike the KR buckets, try substituting the leather lariat 40/20/40 power heated front and bench in the same color to match interior from wrecker as well. Iliac my lariat seats beteer two, can still seat 6 in a pinch and roomy.

I also have a 2005 F350. The block heater plug is above the front bumper tow hook on the passenger side. I couldn't find mine at first either.
