Hum type noise when 4x4 engaged

I have a 2011 F250 when I engage the 4x4 it seems to have a slight hum from the front end. Kind of sounds like if had more agressive mudder type tires on it. This is my first Ford so didn't know if that sound is normal or not. Any feedback would be appreciated.

It is normal, You just aint used to hearing an axle in front of you! Plus you have gears and chains under you spinning fast too! I wouldnt worry till it makes scary noises! lol

It's normal in the Expedition too. I had an '03 that did the same thing.
