will this work???
i got a 93 f250 n i had a idea to lift it cheaply. i was thinking i could build a box type structer to lower my leaf springs n shackels bout 15 inches.this way i dont need to worry bout buying new leaf springs , i would just have to make my drive shafts longer n correct my pinion angle. whats u guys think will this work

yes it can be done but doing ti wrong is a death trap. Doing ti right is how the original Big foot was actually done.

like rob said, it can be done, but do it right. box and gusset everything you can, and i must say 15''s is kind of ridiculous. do you live in floridah by any chance? and either way i would ditch the stock springs. 2 leafs with a negative arch is silly for a wheeling truck. btw, here is how retard tall your truck would be with 15''s of lift:
oh, and did i mention that your ttb axle is not going to work by any stretch of the imagination. and the only tires that are going to not look insanely small on there will be 44''+ tall so you better be thinking about sinking $5k+ into some one tons or buy you a set of rockwells. not so cheap now is it?

Things that will suck about what you want to do:
4.10 gears at best (most probably 3.54s)
Negative arch front springs
Cut and turn your inner Cs
Rob, the "original" bigfoot was a 75 F250 on about 33" tires. Another "first bigfoot" was a 77.5 or 78 with 44" tires and the most famous "first bigfoot" was a 79 with a front suspension similar to what Seth built. The difference here is I feel that Bob and Seth are faaaaar better fabricators than this guy based off his first post.

Barry, that was my old f350 before I bought it from the original owner. It was a trailer queen. specs were: 12'' springs with 3'' body lift hovering above 44'' boggers all on an otherwise dead stock 94 f-350. it looked good, but barely functioned enough to get out of its own way. they didn't index the t-case or cut and rotate the front housing, so it would spit a front shaft out anytime it was put in 4x4.
