so out of pure ignorence i figured i had a np 435 tranny in my ford.. but i was underneath it today and looked up and in bold rasied lettering it said BORG WARNER on it lol.. now i know nothing about this tranny so i was wondering if you guys can tell me witch model tranny this one is.. i have the numbers off the transmission to help figure out what it is.. by the way its a 4 speed
13-01-065-904 (off tranny)
13-01-066-901 (off the part that bolts to tranny and Transfer case)
Any help would be great! this way i will know what it is when if i ever need to rebuild it or what not.
i think your right impalaslayer, i got over excited about it and posted a little to soon. i did some research and i believe its a T18 as well.. its not a t19 because it only has one pto cover instead of 2 like the t19s. but i guess my question now is was it more rare for our dents to have borg warners over np435s? and what do ppl think about these trannys?
Also as a side note when i decoded my vins on my truck. (74 body,79 frame) the body was a auto and the 79 was a 4 speed but i think i read that the t-18s where made up till 1973 so it cant be the orig. tranny from the 79. i could be wrong though lol any oppions on this transmission are welcome!
