I would love to know why my truck dont like dp-tuning, or any tuning at all, i have a jasper reman tranny which i have been told this is the worst one, i didnt buy it it came with the truck, the engine didnt seem to mind but the transmission shifted horrible all gears all the time, my truck is an upgraded factory engine, AIS Air intake, BB turbo, AIH Delete, 4in Turbo Back Exhaust bla bla bla it runs super when the programming is stock, but i do usually get it to around 2500 to when it shifts alot to, im not really complaining about it, i would just like to know why, i wish i could do alot to it like international has on our t444e route bus, better instruments, and a electric hydroboost when the powersteering pressure is lost, and a air ride seat ha ha. Other than that i know my truck like the back of my hand and love every moment of it. Any other mods do i need to do? Thanks for any comments.
ok, Jody advised i save up for a new tranny lol, which i dont have 3 grand to spend on it anyway, i would like to put an allison in it but i dont think thats possible, i service mine religiously im hoping it can keep going i gotta have it for college
Next best step would be live tuning. It's hard to diagnose anything over the phone or internet. The best thing would be to have Jody sitting in your passenger seat watching his computer to see what's going on.

I wish, but im a long distance away from them though, South Mississippi
Does it shift bad at light throttle as well as medium or heavy?
Could it be a shift kit or the way the valvebody is set up?
My truck shifts a a bit funky in the tow and econo tune at medium and heavy throttle but that s all I can say for now as I haven't had time to send the chip back to Jody.James at DP and I talked it over pretty well and think have an idea but about when i was gonna pull it out I got a new injury and don't know when that will be now

Aww, don't let that stop you! I drove from east central Iowa to FT. Worth, TX so Tony could live tune my truck, a nice 12 hour drive. I had shifting and power issues. He fixed the shifting, but later found out I had an injector with a bad barrel and plunger. I want to go back to fine tune things again, but time and wife aren't permitting.
I just think that is the next best step, otherwise you'll be throwing parts at it not knowing the real problem. I don't know if an AE would be able to give you the info you need, but could help.
