weird 4x4 question

Need help please..I had to put my truck in 4 wheel drive "high" because the roads where bad with snow...I got home parked my truck leaving it in 4wheel drive and when I started it again, the dash said it was in 4x4 "low" when it was still in "high" and now it seems to be stuck in 4wheel low...can't even get into 2 wheel drive...any help??
Thanks in advance.

Do you turn a **** on the dash to engage/disengage 4 wheel drive, or do you have a lever on the transmission hump?

With the engine running...do the following. Place foot firmly on the brake pedal and apply pressure and hold. Shift transmission into neutral (auto trans?) and then turn the **** to 4 high. Wait a short while and the display in the instrument cluster should indicate 4 high. Then repeat the process and shift to 2 high if you want. That should work...if it does not then try backing the vehicle (or move forward) and try again. Important to have foot on the brake when going into or out of low range.
