repair gastank?
When I bought truck the owner said the fron leaked if filled past half way. So I really don't use front tank. I use the rear. Noticed a small puddle few days ago.. smelled of gas. Well I crawled underf truck and it seems like its leaking from front of truck sidebut it running down front and then dripping off. Put a measuring cup under truck b4 I went into work at 5am. When I got home at 430pm the cup measured 14oz.... I got some of this putty stuff. Its a log and has diff layers of stuff. U would unwrap itg so the air hits it then kneed it up and pfress it on and it'll dry rock hard. Was gonna run truck dry this weekend and try and find the hole. Is there any common places to look? Is there any better way to seal it up? How hard is it to replace it...thanx ron

X2^^^ Most likely you have holes underneath the plastic front guard(USELESS POS causes more rust)... or under straps.. Depending on size and number of holes, that stuff works sorta... Problem is if it has holes now there are more thin spots you do not notice.
I tried that route only to end up with more leaks later.. I ended up, new tank, new pump, new sender...
