Fuel Gauge
So filled up the truck and the gas gauge stayed at 1/4 tank.. i read up on some of the posts and learned a little.. My truck was sitting at Chevrolet (i know i know.. Its where i bought it at) and the mechanic said it is a commmon problem.. He said it has to do with water building up on top of the gas and messing with the sender.. he took a compressor air hose and sprayed it in the tank and the needle shot up to where its supposed to be and everything works great now.. Amazing how much a little air can do.

LMMFAO--that tech is an idiot. Water is heavier than diesel (or gas) and does NOT build up on top of the fuel. He is right that it is a common problem, but he (and you) got lucky with that fix. It might be possible that the float arm got hung and the air jarred it loose.

Should not have any water on GAS in your truck!! If there is you have bigger problems than a fuel gauge that reads wrong!!!
