I have a 1989 F-250 with a 302 and this morning I tried startin it and it wouldn't start. It will crank but it would not fire at all. It was a little cold this morning about 10 degress or so...could that have anything to do with it. Any help?
I just had this problem. Today it did it, cranking nearly 11 times and no start. Iit did several times last week with temps in the single and double digits.
I put an MSD Blaster coil on in October. I didn't think it could be the coil until I grabbed the old Stock coil from the mud room. Temp in the mud room is as cold or a few degrees warmer than outside temp. I quickly disconnected the MSD coil and connectd the stock one. 2 turns of the key and it started up. Called MSD, RMA'ing tomorrow back to them.
You can check the Primary and Secondary Resistance of the coil. Secondary resistance is suppose to be 8K-11.5K Ohms. Primary Resistance 0.3 to 1.0K Ohms's
