Headlight/wiper circuit trouble

Does anyone know if the steering column switch that controls the wiper speed and high/low beams on a '93 F250 XLT would keep the headlights from coming on? The running lights and dash lights all work fine but if you pull back on the switch the high beams come on bur not if you push it forward like it should work to keep the high beams on. As it is, I have no headlights at all and I know the work if you pull the switch back. Help here before I buy a new column switch.

Yes, that switch can go bad like that, and no, they're not expensive or difficult to replace. The hardest part is getting the phillips screw on the R side front of the steering column cover just inside the dash.

Thanks a....lot.

I found the switch at my employer for about $50 less than the dealer. It's nice to know that I can figure these minor problems pretty quickly.

This link shows how. If it doesn't list your truck, look up a 1993 f150 (no hyphen, like f-150).
