If you're running regular diesel, then fuel heaters are probably not your issue.

How long do you have to crank it before it starts? How cold is it outside for a cold start? How much faster down it start if you let it warm up first? Is there any smoke when it finally starts cold? Any smoke while cranking and trying to start? How much and what color?

How many miles on the truck? Chip or tuner? Other mods? How many miles on the oil, fuel and air filters?

Usually 15-20 seconds and probly 55-60 degrees.once its warm it starts in under 5.there isn't any smoke that I've seen yet.there's 164k on it.my nods r intake.exhaust and do tuner programmer.I took out the programmer and it still does the same thing.

K&N air filter?

Since the fuel injectors fire off of engine oil and a clogged filter might cause a restriction, I'd start with the oil and filter change so we have a clean slate. Make sure your battery cables are clean and tight and fully charged. Then watch close for faint smoke while cranking during the no start so we can determine if the IDM is firing the injectors while you're cranking.
