Need S-code for V-6 locking rear axle.
I'm tired of getting stuck with one wheel spinning. I'm tired of the back end shifting to the right or left when I'm pulling my gooseneck trailer. I'm tired of having to worry about getting stuck in my pasture when the ground is a little soft.
I need limited slip!
This will be for my 2000 F-150 4.2L V-6. The axle I have now is the regular open 3.55 ratio with drum brakes.
Was there ever a FX4 V-6? I want an axle with limited slip and preferably drum brakes although.....if it's not hard to plumb the proportioning valve or junction block (I don't know how discs would affect the standard drum brake circut) then I'll go with discs.
Anyone know? All of the junkyards here want an S number for what I want.
