Ft Benning
Hi, anyone near Ft Benning? I have a son that just came in TDY from Ft Bragg.
The 460 in my(his now) 79 F250 Crewcab started giving him trouble as he pulled in. On the trip from OK to Ft Bragg, it used about a 1 1/2 quarts of oil (1400 miles). If we can beleive the Ford dealer near the base, there was only about a 1/2 quart of oil in it Seems to me, that if he left Ft Bragg full of oil, and arrived Ft Benning almost out of oil (500 miles), he should have been leaving a blue cloud, or a big puddle.
Anyone know of a GOOD & FAIR shop in the area? It sounds as if he maybe looking for an engine?

Note, He could get the crewcab up to Alanta if it would be a better place. Thanks.
