I have a 73 f150 and an 82 bronco the 73 has drum brakes can I take the disks off of the 82 and put them on the 73 from the knuckles out?

I dont know if you can swap em straight up. but my buddy says a d44 ia d44, so you'll probably have to swap knuckles. you could just take em a part and find out. it should be obvious before you have it all the way apart. goog luck!

This maybe a little off topic of your subject but...Is it possible to take a LP D44 w/ closed knuckles and turn it into the later LP D44 w/open knuckles and dics brakes. I was thinking about swapping the outers and axles, brakes etc since the gears need work on the one I have laying around. I just dont know if its possible.

It has the factory ttb bronco front axle.

short awnser,no. the spindles have a different bolt pattern,the caliper brackets are diff. too. the only parts that are the "same" are the rotors. your best bet would be to find a 77-79 to get all your parts from.
