exhaust manifolds

are the exhaust manifolds off of a 1970 and a 1976 360 the same??

As long as it is an FE in a truck they are the same from 1965 tru 1976. There are some different manifolds for cars, most of them will work if you have an exhaust shop build new pipes.

All true! Use a truck manifold for the right side or you will need to nick the frame or bend it up a bit to clear. Looks cheezy if you do it that way.

can a guy use factory exhaust manifolds and all new exhaust like flow techs and get good rumble and sound.I just re did top end and primarily want the truck to sound bad it wont be raced??

Short answer is yes! I use 2 1/4 inch pipes dual to the muffler (Flowmaster dual in single out) and then 3 inch pipe out behind the R/R Tire. Drones a bit but sounds nice. I plan to add a crossover under the oil pan hoping the drone goes away. This system is quiet, but sounds serious, and I have friendly neighbors.

Does anyone have any cast iron headers like they used on the old 406's and hipo 390's? There is some on ebay now and then, but they want like 400 bucks, does anyone offer aftermarket ones?
