Stereo Head Unit HELP!

I just bought a kenwood headunit to rplace my factory unit and had no issues until i got to the HU cage install. I cant seem to bend the tabs far enough to get it to sit preoperly or securely. So as of rite now it is just sitting in my dash begging to get ripped out. Any suggestion? thanks

I cutout my face plate and mounted the cage to it.

My new JVC unit works wonderfully by just using the weight of the metal sleeve and the unit its self.....Never tries to slide out or anything....

I used one of the thin DIN surrounds to fill the gap around the radio and mounted the cage to that.
