Rust is never good. Who manufactures these headers? I figure the reason they are rusting there is because they are exposed to all the crap that your tires kick up. For your next pair, you should opt for some stainless steel, or even ceramic coated. They are guaranteed against rust through, and dont discolor.

Rich
They are actually Hedman Hedders Elite Hedders. So Im a little pissed cuz I was told they would be good!
I dont have any personal experience with hedman, but from all the stuff I hear in the big bronco forum, they arent worth their weight in scrap. Did you get a deal on them?? We all get burned one time or another. Are they guaranteed against rust through? 90 day warranty?
Yeah heddman headers aren't that great. I would have to say that i'm dissapointed with mine. They are basically a rust color all over and the tubing they are made of isn't very thick. I installed them about four years ago and when i did i had to do some drilling on the passenger side. One of the bolt holes in the flange for the #4 cylinder wasn't lined up right.
You basically get what you pay for. These were fairly cheap in price and turned out to be cheap in quality. Eventually I'll replace them, but for now they are doing a decent job. I just have to replace the gaskets every so often cause they won't seal up right.
