Im looking into the little things pro's, Con's. and what are the best things to do. i will be returning around May and would like to have this thing ready to roll. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Welcome to FTE. What are your plans for the truck? Chip it, lift it, etc.?
There are a few weak points in the 6.0 diesel motor. Check in down in our 6.0 diesel section and those guys will line you out on what needs to be done to fit in with your plans. They can also offer suggestions on the best tuners and stuff for your motor.
Thank you for the help, i posted up in the 6.0 forum and getting a few replies.. and to answer your question i plan ona small 4-6 inch lift probably a programmer, intake, exhaust and that is it.. occasional towing of my car and basically play time from there.
Take some time and speak with the diesel mechanics in the motor pool if you are in good with one. Get to know some of the basic, changing oil/fuel filters how the fuel water separator works turbo's and things.
This will give you some decent foundation to start with. Although it will be a different diesel then what you may have around there you will be better prepared.
