Starter solinoid Help!!!
How does one tell if there solinoid has gone bad?
My truck would start up fine then this wednesday I go to move it and it nothing happens.
I put the battery on the charger nothing.
I check all the fuses and they are good too.
I try to jump the solinoid and nada.
So is this the classic Ford bad solinoid?
Its been along time since I had electrical probs in any Ford or pretty much any American cars.

No clicky no nothing. Sounds like possibly your starter is bad. How did you jump your solenoid. Screw driver from the S terminal to Battery? Make sure your connections are tight . battery, solenoid starter, ground . Where is your battery ground to the block or body? Do you have headlights, anything?

The other electricals work, and no clicky.
The starter seemed to spin fast. I never had one of those just go out. They almost always go slowly. The solenoid is usually what just dies.

After many days of sleepness nights, and many headaches.
I pulled on the lead wire into the solenoid, and it pulled out in my hand. So I cleaned her up, and re-crimped in a vise. So my truck is road worthy again. :-)
