I was wondering what is the best way to run true duals with the front fuel tank. I have tried several ways but the tank always seems to be in the way. Thanks for the replys and help
A single 3" flows the same or better than dual 2 1/4's btw......so, like pfogle said.....you should run a Y pipe into a single 3 and then if you really want the dual look at the tailpipes....split it at the back
Summit Racing sells a dual exhaust pipe kit from Hooker. It mates to the factory manifolds, or to long tube headers.(depending on which kit you get.) The pipes run down the passenger side of the truck and both exit behind the passenger rear wheel. It is a decent setup. My dad had it on his 85 F150 and it bolted up real easy. Just my $.02....
groundrat could you give me a part number.
Right now I am looking at bending pipe up over the tranny mount, put race readies (so I can run open headers), then my mufflers, and run both pipes down the passenger side and back after the rear axle, both running out opposite sides of the receiver.
there's the link for the setup he's referring to. I'm also running this on my truck. Was a piece of cake to install. The hardest part about it was cutting the old one off. The instructions were very informative as well. BUT it's a side exit setup. Not exactly what you're looking for eh?

Hey groundrat,
Could you tell me where the pipes on your F-150's run. Talked to muffler shop today and will cost me around 80 to have what I want done. Thanks
