sway bars

Hi guys, I have a 77 F-150 and I want to put front and rear sway bars on. The problem is, this truck never had them on. So I was wondering if any one has used a kit from Helwig or addco. There are also kits in the NPD book also. Any guide lines or offers of advice will be appreciated. John

I installed a Helwig on the rear of my 68 F250 in the early 70s and it worked so well I put the front one on too. I carried a slide-in camper and the wind blew me all over the road. When the sway bars were installed it was like a different truck. One of the best things I've done to it. The install was an easy bolt-on. I'm still driving the truck.

Not trying to hi-jack the thread, but is it possible to put the rear sway bar from a newer truck 87-96 on our trucks? That is if one can be found in the Junkyard?
