Ordered mine today! I went with an 87 Tow, 91 Tow and 87 economy tune. I also ordered the "Y" pipe. After reading up on the forum I will probably add a Flowmaster 50 SUV to finish it off.

I have 4.88 gears and 35" tires. I can't wait to get the tranny shifting correctly and speedo reading right!

I have 35's but with 3:73. I was reading your build list and man, you have quite the rig. I don't remember what tunes Mike made 4 me. I believe 87,91 and tow. I'm hoping this SCT wakes my rig up.

Here's to hoping my rear end blows up so I can switch to 4.30's, I can't stand the 3.73's anymore. Woops, off-topic

Maybe even 4.56's given I might go to an even bigger tire next time, I'm already at 285/75r16's (32.8 inches).

Seriously with 35's and 3.73's, that's pushing it

Why are 3:73s bad? I've always had diesels so taller tires help. I assume it's just the opposite with gassers?

It really depends on what you're doing, if you're not towing heavy, it's not a big deal. Me, I don't tow heavy, but I have a heavy foot, especially in stop-and-go, and going to a lower (higher number) gear would help my MPGs.

And acceleration

No towing for me but I do have a heavy foot. I think my truck accelerates ok. I can't imagine how it would do with 4:56s??!!

I ordered my tuner and y-pipe monday, got it yesterday. I emailed Mike the pcm strategy, and he emailed me back my tunes last night. I got the 87 economy, 87 performance and 93 performance. I loaded up the 87 economy, then took it out for a short jaunt up a couple exits and back on the highway, could already tell the trans was shifting better, and the engine sounded like it was staying in the powerband better. It was late, so that was all I did last night. Today, it was really nice. The trans shifts are more solid, better acceleration, just all around better. Then, I was sitting at a light in the inner lane and the right lane disappears shortly after the light. Some guy decides he's gonna try the jet up and cut in front routine when the light turns green. No way I'm gonna let that happen right? He had the jump on me a bit, but I punched it and figured I'd be next to him and a little ahead so he'd have to slow down. Nope. Past him before the road narrowed. Had the rest of my lunch sitting on the fold down console of my 40/20/40 seat. Didn't spill it though. Ever see that trick where they yank the table cloth out from under the dishes and they all stay put? Did that with my truck. Bag hit the back of the cab and dropped straight down into the behind seat bin.

I'm thinkin' this is the econo tune? I'm gonna need to load up one of them perf tunes before too long.

Mike was awesome. His tunes are awesome. Thanks a bunch Mike.

Oh, and I have 285/75/r16 with 3.73's. Unless gears have been changed and the PO didn't know.

I just loaded the 87 tune. Mike sent some paper work explaining the tune takes a few times of driving the truck before I will actually notice it. Next week I will be doing the exhaust.

I'm hoping to get my y-pipe put on next week. Gotta see when my shop can squeeze me in. Gonna swap time with 'em.
