1995 5.0 rear main seal

I have just recently purchased my first Ford ever, a 1995 F-150 Super Cab 4x4 with a 5.0. The rear main seal needs to be replaced. I am a mechanic in the Marine Corps and am used to working on GM 6.2/6.5 engines, not very familiar with Ford engines. Are the rear mains basically the same where I just drop the oil pan and replace?

The rear main on your ford is a 1 piece seal. You will either have to pull the motor, or the trans. and transfer case to get to it. The pan does not need to come off.
