I agree...right now...not many choices! LOL
But when it melts/thaws...well I'm an Indiana guy...I'm partial to a couple of northern Indiana parks.
1) Indiana Dunes State Park
2) Potato Creek State Park
Also in Middlebury Indiana (maybe a little farther than you want) has lots of RV manufacturers to tour the factory, etc...
Also you have the RV Hall of Fame in Elkhart IN too...it is a pretty cool to see that place too!

How about Racine Wisconsin? Why Racine? Kringler!!!
Kringler is the king of Danish pastry and perhaps the greatest of all pastries in my opinion. Having had a Grandfather that was born in Denmark meant I was eating it as soon as I had enough teeth to chew it! At one time Racine was home to more Danes than anywhere else in the country and as a result there are more Kringler shops in Racine than you'll find anywhere else. The classic filling is almond raisin, but you can get them with just about any filling. One of my favorite is cherry filled. A fresh Kringler and a pot of coffee as you sit in one of the many Kringler shops in Racine will be a memory you won't soon forget. Just google up "racine kringle" and take our pick of which shop to try. My recommendation would be to try them all while you're there!
