Question 99 Expy rear Thumping

Hello fellow Expedition owners.....! Just look for a lil feedback if ya got. I have a 99 Expy.Eddie Bauer with a thumping noise from the right rear (possibly right) but rear for sure when hitting certain bumps (like speed bumps) and the whole rear end sways to the right a lil bit.....I have'nt had much time to investigate yet but a quick visual shows no broken springs, shocks, suspension arm or track bars ??? But did notice sway bushings worn and a lil loose....But I didnt think it would cause that much body hop? Guess I will have to replace them and re-evaluate! BUT if anyone has delt with this your input would be helpfulllllllllll............!!!!!!

I was getting thumping and it turned out my lower shock mount was loose. Tightening it up made the thump go away. I didn't get any body hop, though. To diagnose, I grabbed the shock and tried to shake it every which way. One way it moved a tiny bit. I didn't think less than 1 millimeter could make a difference but it definitely went away when I tightened it.

Check the exhaust pipe hangers and inspect the control arm bushings carefully and closely.
