I posted over in the Super-Duty section because it's related to all Super-Duties in general... just wanted some of you 7.3L-only guys to see it. Post up what you think over there:
I like them. I have running boards on mine and I am waiting for a reason to get rid of them, but cant because of the woman. those look better than the factory running boards

Me too! I wish I could've tried them on the truck before I welded them up but there was no way. If I could do it over again, I'd slide both step loops towards the front of the truck about 6". Still, they're great like they are! I had stock boards, but the black was so faded it looked like crap and they were flimsy at that. I didn't want the typical chome runners either... I liked these and it went well with the look I'm trying to get. It'll have Ranch Hands and a flat bed one of these days. For being my first REAL welding project, it turned out pretty well.
Thanks for all the responses, guys... as for the woman, I ain't got one to get rid of so, I'm good there.
Did your turck have running boards before the new bars?
We have two 99 psd work trucks with equal miles and the one that has running boards is still like new when you open the door.
The one with nerf bars is worn down to bare metal at the bottom of the door and cab and rusting due to the road grime getting between the cab and door.
For my personal early 99 Ide love to have some nice nerf bars but just can't warrant getting rid of my running boards and letting the rust in. lol
