Hey guys,
I have a 2005 Excursion V10 2WD. While driving over bumpy street terrain I can feel and hear a thud like sound coming from my front drivers side wheel area. To me it seems as though the wheel has too much bounce and as if the left wheel bounces harder compared to right side. At first, I thought it may be something loose under the hood, but everything checked out ok after using a few zip ties. Then I checked under the engine, the sway bar and links now has new moog mounts, steering components, still everything was tight and looked ok. Then I checked on the bumper, grille guard, running boards, and still everything was ok. Then I measured and compared the left and right side coil springs, they were at the same height. Recently I installed new brake rotor-hubs and bearings on the front axles, I hoped that it would solve the issue, but it didn't. The shocks are only about a year old, the tires are original size, same psi on left and right, and in good shape.
I don't know what else to ckeck or replace on my Excursion, please help with any advise. Thanks.
Yeah the tires are out of balance, but I only feel the tire vibration out on the highway at 70+ mhp. I even rotated the tires, still it continues. I'll try to remove the center caps today and see if it helps.
